This turned out to be one of the most memorable moments in my Floodstain carreer... I've got a lot of those but this one story comes to mind...
I was on tour with my band Floodstain and we had a gig in Ca stellon. I think pub legend i don't know if it still exists but I know the owner died sadly.
So we arrive in the afternoon and the sun is out. It's extremely hot and the shutter was still down. we were still a bit hungover as yea that happens on tour sometimes.
After a while the owner came walking and opened the shutters and directly pulled out posters and cds that he wanted us to sign and asked us if we wanted whisky shots.. we politely said we would rather take a beer still feeling the hangover from yesterday.
Our new record isn't out yet but we did play all the songs on it and had one music video out of the song ice pick lobotomy.
After we set up our gear we waited in an empty venue thinking what the hell is the night going to bring and soon had to start playing i ordered some beers and we climbed on this mini stage we barely fitted on but it was big enough.
The moment I turn around to put my amp on..and turning back facing the front of the stage the place was packed till the rim we were like holycow and thought we gotta work hard tonight !!
We let the amps swell and the started shouting FLOODSTAIN FLOODSTAIN FLOODSTAIN we thought what do they already know us......
NOTE: This video features the final song of the night and the last song of the tour!
After we finish our set, they kep screaming for more lol, so we kept playing, encore after encore!
After the show the whole venue plus crowd takes us out for food and drinks, the longest table I've ever eaten on and yes we got hammered.
That moment stuck to me as u may be an unknown band on tour but stuff does sometimes resonate with people in places u never expect to happen..
