OLD BIOGRAPHY 2005

The story

It started in 2000, me and my brother where spending most of our time on our main band called between

With S.Nederpelt on bass

We made a mix that I later gave the name psychotic grunge, it had all sort of influences from funk to metal crossover and more. But me and my brother noticed that we where more into easy heavy grooving rock  (Stoner)

(As the critic would say), music from the soul music for on the road.

So we booked a day studio and recorded 4 songs that we more or less wrote in the studio

(Slaves to cruise control)

I would just crank our riffs and let the rest go with the flow….and later do some vocals and some bass.

We let some people hear our shit and the liked it more then the shit we did with between and the band was born

FLOODSTAIN that are does drops of paint everyone hates when the paint is dry you see those lines and there hard to get rid off ….and so are we !!

S.nederpelt joined our band but left after our first CD get it on, the music didn't suited him so he left…

We then met A.van de Tang  that joined around the en of 2001, we where ready to roll ( Are we? )

We did allot of gigs and our CD was selling OK ,but my brother was getting tired and lost his will

So we had to send him down the lane…..there you go..

Wouter was a friend that I already new and played with in the band neptunes…so he was willing to take the ride

And he rode it low….again playing, playing  selling albums and shit we even got a booking contract played in the melkweg Amsterdam as headliner, 013 tilburg and many more nice places …we did gigs in Belgium

But in Belgium my brother was already back……Wouter's life had became to busy with all that playing that he had to leave …..So my brother was the first to be back behind the drums ….ready to rock (ahum)?

After playing more gigs and gigs, the floodstain camp was getting,  not a friendly place to be anymore

The ideas where not fitting in with our bassist with the dollar signs in his eyes…….

And it was already 4 years ago since we recorded get it on …So we needed to Go and record (take a ride)

He was already showing that our music wasn't what he liked so we doubted for a long time long phone calls and

More talking…Until on day before recording he said things that changed my mind He was OUT!!!!

Leaving me with the duty to pay for all costs of the studio and not giving any money to us we earned in those years, we felt On fire …….so we just recorded it

All the years of shit and emotions are on there, listen and take a ride

We met Roland a week after recording the album and he was willing to fill the empty spot

As our new bassist

Again the Action is go !!!!
